Description :	Glucosamine and chondriotin are sometimes offered together as a supplement but have different roles to play as glucosamine is used in cartilage repair and to enhance the cushion of the synovial fluid whereas chondriotin helps to combat the damage to the cartilage by inhibiting the enzymes. These different forms of glucosamine which may also include Omega-3 are usually in tablet or capsule form and taken several times daily, but now a sustained release version is available called Flex-It and offered at the 1500mg daily dose suggested by Orthopaedic surgeons, and taken as a One-A-Day so it is constantly feeding the joints over a 12 hour period.
